About
Hi,
Thank you for visiting my store! I got into houseplants in 2020, around the same time I bought my first 3D printer. As my plant collection grew, so did the need for plant accessories like trellises and supports. After following a YouTube tutorial to make my own moss pole and failing miserably, I thought — hey, I can just 3D print this stuff. So I did. After sharing my creations with friends and getting positive feedback, I started selling them on my local plant Facebook group. I'm so grateful for that community's support, which gave me the confidence to open this online store.
At the same time I also opened shop on Etsy and that shop now has over 2,000 sales and a 4.9-star rating from more than 400 reviews. See for yourself here!
Moss Trail Designs is a one-woman shop based in BC, Canada, making functional and decorative 3D printed hoya trellises and indoor plant supports for hoya collectors and indoor plant enthusiasts. Everything is designed by me and printed to order in my home.
Because I'm a plant collector myself, function drives every design decision. That means built-in hooks where clips would get in the way, four-legged bases where stability matters, and modular designs that extend as your plant grows rather than being replaced. The kind of details that only make sense if you actually grow the plants.
All products are printed with PLA, a biodegradable plant-based plastic. Unlike bamboo, PLA won't rot in humid conditions or wet growing media like leca, pon, or semi-hydro — which matters if you're growing the way a lot of collectors do today.
I package everything thoughtfully, with reusable materials whenever possible.
I hope you find something here that will bring you joy and make your plants pop.
Love,
Ellaine
