Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping
Where do you ship? Moss Trail Designs ships worldwide, with the exception of the European Union and Northern Ireland (due to GPSR). If you're unsure whether your country is covered, feel free to reach out at info@mosstraildesigns.com.
What are your shipping rates? Shipping is a flat fee based on destination:
- Canada — $6 CAD (lettermail, untracked) or $14 CAD (tracked parcel)
- United States — $8 USD
- United Kingdom — £6
- Rest of world — $16 CAD
All prices are in the currency noted.
How long will my order take to arrive? Everything is made to order. My processing time is 3-5 business days, and shipping times vary by destination.
Returns
What is your return policy? Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt. To initiate a return, please contact me first at info@mosstraildesigns.com before sending anything back. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
What if my order arrives damaged? If something arrives broken or not as described, please get in touch at info@mosstraildesigns.com with a photo and I'll make it right.
About the Products
What material are the trellises made from? All trellises are 3D printed from PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based bioplastic. PLA is non-toxic and widely considered safe for use with houseplants.
Are the trellises safe for outdoor use? No — the trellises are designed for indoor use only. PLA can warp or degrade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
How do I choose the right size for my pot? Each product page lists dimensions so you can match the trellis to your plant and pot. Most of my trellises will fit a standard 4 inch pot. For even smaller pots like 2 inch cups for propagation, the Double Legged Stakes, Small Leaf and Stacked Hearts designs will all fit. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out.
Do I need clips or ties to use the trellises? It depends on the design. Many trellises — including the Wreath, Open Hearts, and Bricks designs — are designed to hold vines without clips, tape, or velcro. Product pages note when clips are not needed.
Care & Use
How do I attach the trellis to my pot? Most trellises push directly into the soil. The legs or base are designed to sit securely in a standard potting mix. Semi-Hydro setups like pon or LECA might require a repot (placing trellis in the pot first and filling pon/leca around it.
How do I clean the trellis? Rinse under warm water and wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking for extended periods, as this can affect the finish over time.
Will the colour fade? PLA colours are generally stable indoors, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight through a window can cause gradual fading over time.

Where are the trellises made? Every trellis is designed and 3D printed by one person in British Columbia, Canada.
Are products made to order or kept in stock? Everything is made to order.
Do you sell on Etsy as well? Yes — Moss Trail Designs is also available on Etsy at etsy.com/ca/shop/MossTrailDesigns. Discounts are only available here, on mosstraildesigns.com however.
Do you sell STL files for home 3D printing? No — only finished, printed trellises are available for sale. STL files are not offered.
